97 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Priced at the same level as Les Clos – and rightly so given its incredible quality – this comes from a 1ha parcel next to La Moutonne that was planted in 1970. It has chiselled, sappy notes of lime and wet stones, with a bone dry finish, subtle oak and a briney, sea-breeze intensity that leave the palate refreshed and satisfied. Not easy to carry off in a vintage like 2018. Drinking Window: 2021-2030. (Jul 2019)"

95-97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2018 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru is a wine of precision and power. Tightly wound and explosive, the 2018 possesses tremendous energy and tension that sizzles from start to finish. The combination of richness and austerity is so compelling. The 2018 is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. (Jan 2020)"

95-96 points James Suckling: "So flinty and mineral, with crushed stones and a wealth of lime peel, grapefruit pith and some white peaches in the mix, as well as strong, refined oyster-shell and iodine-like aromas. Super savory, though, with lemon pastry and almond meal. The palate has a very supple, smooth build of acidity, elevating white-peach, lime-sorbet and crushed-stone flavors. The late surge of spear-like minerals carries long and reveals the true length of this wine to come in time. Try from 2026. (8/14/19)"

95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 les Preuses is outstanding this year (but that is probably true every year in the Dauvissat cellars for several generations now!), with nicely ripe fruit coupled to kaleidoscopic mineral undertow and a marvelous girdle of acidity. The bouquet jumps from the glass in an already very complex mix of apple, lemon peel, grapefruit, all sorts of mineral shadings, paraffin and white flowers. On the palate the wine is very pure and mineral-driven, with a full-bodied and classic format, superb depth at the core and excellent length and grip on the ripe, but very mineral finish. Fine, fine juice. 2024-2065. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses has turned out brilliantly, delivering notes of orange oil, crisp orchard fruit, iodine, white flowers and oyster shell, followed by a full-bodied, ample and enveloping palate that's racy and saline, concluding with a long, electric finish. This is rather open for a young Dauvissat Preuses; and while it should, all things being equal, enjoy a long life, it will be less of a crime than usual to open a bottle or two young. Drink: 2023-2048. (Aug 2021)"

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1 ha parcel planted in 1970). A wonderfully broad-ranging nose is composed by restrained aromas of mineral reduction, floral, pear, apple and iodine scents. As is usually the case this is notably finer if less powerful and intense, indeed the mouthfeel of the cool middle weight flavors is almost delicate though this texture contrasts considerably with the lingering and strikingly complex finish that is, like the La Forest, almost chewy. This hugely long effort is one of the wines of the vintage though note well that patience will be required. Drink: 2030+. (Oct 2020)"

94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru has an outstanding nose for the vintage, very well defined with light nutty and smoky aromas. The palate is quite saline on the entry, displaying fine tension. Not as powerful as the 2019 but with an uncharacteristic linearity for the vintage, and more classic in style than many. Drink: 2023-2038. (Sep 2020)"
