100 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2017 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru is a stunning wine that embodies all of the best qualities of Chablis today. A grand, sweeping wine, the Preuses possesses dramatic concentration and richness. And yet it remains so Chablis, so Dauvissat and so Preuses. All of the classic Preuses signatures of citrus, slate, sage, crushed rocks and mint literally explode into a finish of palate-staining weight and intensity. Vincent Dauvissat adds that this was the last fruit he picked in 2017. "I waited until the very end,'" he told me. "The fruit just wasn't ready before." The 2017 Preuses is a magical wine that will thrill those lucky enough to own it. In a word: heroic. Drink: 2025-2037. (Jan 2020)"

99 points (19.5/20)/'Le Coup de Coeur,' La Revue du Vin de France: "Without the slightest asperity in its myriad of penetrating flavors, Les Preuses offers a nose of thyme and green tea: a great, harmonious and sensual wine. (Jan 2020)"

98 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "The Dauvissat holdings touch La Moutonne but make a very different style to the Long-Depaquit wine. Fine, delicate and subtle, this lightly wooded grand cru takes your breath away with its focus, poise, and its thrilling length. Drinking Window: 2024-2035. (7/18/18)"

97+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "There was just a touch of frost damage in the domaine’s holdings in les Preuses in 2017, so the yields here were down by ten percent. The wine is brilliant, offering up a deep and enormously complex nose of grapefruit, tart pear, green apple, a kaleidoscopic base of chalky and oyster shell minerality, orange peel, a whisper of vanillin oak and an exotic, savory topnote that is redolent of fresh tarragon! On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, racy and absolutely rock solid at the core, with great detail and complexity. The finish is very, very long, youthfully reserved and vibrant, with laser-like focus and great grip. A magical les Preuses in the making, but give it some time in the cellar to really blossom. 2026-2075. (Nov/ Dec 2018)"

95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Chablis Les Preuses Grand Cru, of which there are 13 barrels this year, has a very pure and refined bouquet that offers gunflint, and steely scents that are almost Zen-like for this particular Grand Cru. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine line of acidity, subtle notes of nutmeg and brown spices underneath a carapace of mineral-rich citrus fruit that fan out in sophisticated fashion on the finish. Brilliant. Drink: 2027-2050. (Aug 2018)"

93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Clear bright colour, a luxury nose, the woolly cashmere aspect of Preuses in the best sense. Rounded ripe fruit wants to emerge. A generous ripeness last to be picked, but what a huge and glorious weight to it. Was backward throughout the growing season. Picked much later than his neighbours. (May 2018)"

95.2 points CellarTracker.com community score.

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1 ha parcel planted in 1970). The barest hint of the exotic can be found on the citrusy pear and green apple aromas that display an abundance of classic Chablis characters. Once again the mouth feel of the medium weight plus flavors is strikingly pure and refined with outstanding intensity while the copious dry extract does an impeccable job of buffering the firm acid spine shaping the gorgeously long finish. This is, in a word, terrific. Drink: 2032+. (Oct 2019)"
