97 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Surprisingly discreet on the nose, yet characteristically high-volume in energy, this Clos has dynamic tension. The revving acidity contrasts with the ripe, muscular core marked by dry extract. The balance is outstanding. Toasted wheat bread, apple butter, marzipan and roasted orange wheels drench the heady palate and dignified finish with ample flavor. There are six parcels here, two below the mid-slope path and four above. (2025)"
93-95 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 3 different parcels of 50+ year old vines that total 1.0 ha). A cool and restrained nose is comprised by the essence of wet stone, white flower, citrus confit, oyster shell and an unusual hint of resin. The sleek and almost painfully intense larger-bodied yet still refined flavors are akin to rolling a small pebble around the mouth, all wrapped in a hugely long, balanced and youthfully austere finale. Like the Preuses, this is a wine that should effortlessly reward a decade plus of keeping. Moreover, it is one of the wines of the 2023 vintage. Drink: 2033+. (Oct 2024)"
93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a more expressive bouquet than the Les Preuses at the moment: crushed stone intermingles with hazelnut, hints of chalk and glimpses of yellow plum and Vervane. It coheres beautifully in the glass. The palate is more involving than the Les Preuses, perhaps edgier. A complex and very saline finish gets the saliva flowing. It seems to revel in being Les Clos and has one-up on Les Preuses at this prenatal juncture. Drink: 2033-2052. (Aug 2024)"
