The bouquet is pure, vibrant and complex, delivering an aromatic constellation of grapefruit, pear, apple, oyster shell, paraffin, chalky minerality, white flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and racy, with a rock solid core, laser-like focus, great grip and cut and a very, very long, transparent finish. An utter classic. 2020-2050. Simultaneously suave and powerful, fine-grained and penetrating, this seamless, bulletproof grand cru finishes with outstanding building length and an impression of chewy dry extract. The super-elegant if restrained nose exhibits notably cool and admirably pure aromas of white flowers, pear, apple, citrus and plenty of classic Chablis elements that are trimmed in just enough wood to mention. There is fine volume to the solidly dense and atypically powerful medium-bodied flavors that coat the mouth with dry extract as well as deliver a strikingly persistent finish that brims with minerality though once again, there is a hint of warmth.
