94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "A bottling that regularly excels chez Dauvissat, the 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Séchet opens in the glass with delicate aromas of citrus peel, grapefruit, crisp green apples and white flowers, with only subtle hints of the oyster shell to come. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with a deep and tight-knit core, striking tension and a searingly mineral finish. Séchet—where Dauvissat owns a 0.8-hectare parcel—is located in the Vaillons Valley, but its windier situation and soils richer in active limestone mean it's typically much chalkier and more tensile than the other climats that make up Vaillons. Drink: 2027-2050. (8/30/19)"
93-94 points James Suckling: "Attractive yellow citrus, lemons and very chalky oyster shell minerals. White peaches and dried flowers too. The palate has a super fine acidity. Elegant, long and very mineral. This has real tension and energy. Drink or hold. (7/20/18)"
93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Monsieur Dauvissat’s 2017 Séchet is simply superb and underscores just how brilliant this vintage is for the domaine. The bouquet is pure, focused and already very expressive, offering up a classic blend of pink grapefruit, apple, citrus peel, limestone minerality, beeswax and white lilies. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and marvelously racy out of the blocks, with a rock solid core, exceptional transparency, laser-like focus and a very long, saline finish. This is one of the finest young vintages of Séchet I have ever tasted chez Dauvissat! Drink: 2021-2055. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
