96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Marked by a pebbly sensation, Montee de Tonnerre derives its refined power from a veritable white-water torrent of crystalline fruit, dense and weighty on the palate. (2025)"

95 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "This exhibits a dramatic, forceful side of this premier cru: fascinating to compare with Raveneau's iteration from Chapelot/Pied d'Aloup. Ripe, rich stone fruit is balanced by notable acidity and a stony, mineral edge. Spice notes add an extra level of interest. Super-classy, with a very long future ahead. Drinking Window: 2025-2032. (10/18/23)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of pear, Myer lemon, green apple, clam liquor and white flowers preface Dauvissat's 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine with a textural attack that segues into a bright, mineral mid-palate, concluding with a saline finish. (9/7/23)"

90-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A much fuller yellow here, richer and softer, with some bacon fat: at first sight this could be clumsy but the palate delivers the acidity and energy, with a wealth of fruit and some roses. The 2022 Dauvissat Montée de Tonnerre should all come together. Drink from 2028-2038. Tasted May 2023."

93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru has a wonderful bouquet that is pure Dauvissat: very refined, a little beeswax, dried honey and a touch of hazelnut. Very harmonious. The palate is very balanced and pure, just the right acidic line that keeps this vibrant. The finish displays a linearity that is uncommon in this warmer growing season. Almost understated. Superb. Drink: 2027-2045. (Aug 2024)"

93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .30 ha parcel in Côte de Bréchain). Here the airy and expressive nose is even more floral in character with its notes of acacia, rose petal and even a suggestion of gardenia on the aromas of ocean breeze, wet stone and shellfish. The more refined and highly energetic if less concentrated medium-bodied flavors tighten up noticeably on the focused, moderately austere and overtly stony finale. This seductive yet serious effort is going to require at least a few years of patience and should repay up to a decade of keeping if you wish to see it at its probable peak. Drink: 2032+. (Oct 2024)"

93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2024).

93 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2025).
