95 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Forest (spelt the English way) is one of the signature wines at this domaine and comes from a lieu dit in the Montmains Premier Cru, separated into no fewer than 12 parcels. It’s a little more marked by oak than some of the domaine’s wines in 2015, but there’s massive underlying concentration complemented by saline acidity and notes of aniseed and iodine. 2018-26."

94 points Stephen Brook (Decanter): "Ripe and charming, intense and lifted. Showing purity of fruit and clarity, although the aromas are currently quite subdued. Racy and beautifully poised, with a very long finish. Drinking Window: 2018-2028. (Jan 2017)"

94 points (17/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "The Forest's aromatic palette is highly complex: fairly compact, its dense, powerful body will need time to reveal its nuances. Enhanced by fine bitters, the finish is full-bodied but retains an almost tactile limestone purity. (2018)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "I love Vincent Dauvissat’s La Forest and the 2015 is an absolutely classic version! The bouquet is pure, nascently complex and very expressive, wafting from the glass in a fine, fine blend of flinty, wet stone minerality, pear, lime, a whisper of the coming beeswax, candied lemon peel and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and rock solid at the core, with an open attack, an outstanding sense of reserve at the core, bright acids and excellent lift and cut on the very long, zesty finish. This is fairly open in personality today, but it has additional layers of complexity to offer to those with a bit of patience. 2016-2040. (Nov/Dec 2016)"

93+ points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Pale, bright yellow. Very closed but pure aromas of lemon zest and oil and wet stone. Wonderfully tactile, intense and alive, offering sharply chiseled flavors of citrus fruits, crushed rock and salty minerality and terrific lemony lift. This very deep but relatively austere 2015 calls for a good four or five years of aging but should ultimately be one of the elite premier crus of its vintage. (Dauvissat also opened a bottle of the 2009 Chablis La Forest, which combined wound-up aromas of lemon, crushed and minerals with some sexy biscuit and truffle suggestions of evolution. On the palate, the wine is still incredibly young, boasting terrific lemony energy and cut and showing just the first hints of empyreumatic and oyster shell character. This wine is neither high in alcohol nor in acidity yet it's classic and powerful and should broaden out dramatically in bottle over the next ten years.) Drink: 2022-2030. (Aug 2017)"

93 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru la Forest has a seductive bouquet of toffee apple, quince, flint and touches of apricot blossom developing over time all with superb delineation. The palate is very well balanced with outstanding energy and tension, perhaps waxy in texture and with a slow burning build that leads to a vibrant quince, marmalade and white pepper finish that seems to lacquer the mouth. What a great Forêts, even if the 2016 is showing even greater potential. Drink: 2022-2040. (Aug 2017)"
