94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "The d’Angerville vineyards are in Cailleret Dessus and have produced an impressive Volnay Premier Cru in 2014. Smoky, spicy and mineral, with a chalky edge, firmish tannins and fine, nuanced red fruit flavours, this needs a little more time to digest its 20% new oak. 2017-26. (2016)"

93 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "TThe 2014 Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets still has that compelling, stony, minerally, limestone scented bouquet that is beautifully defined and transparent. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, crisp acidity, nicely structured and a little more saline than its fellow premier crus. I appreciate the weight here, the tension throughout, the length on the finish. Though it just errs on the austere side, it is a sophisticated Volnay that should age well over the next 20 years. Drink: 2019-2038. (4/27/16)"

93 points Ella Lister (Decanter): "Sensuous red fruit, and crème patissière bursting with vanilla seeds. Beautifully poised on the palate, with a fresh, taut structure. Moreish and intriguing."
