Clive Coates (The Wines of Burgundy): "This estate was one of the very first to bottle and market all its wines itself. Today, it is run by Guillaume d'Angerville and his brother-in-law Renaud de Villette; the latter, having understudied under the late Jacques d'Angerville (who died in 2003), takes the more active role in the vineyard and in the cellar... Only 15 percent new oak is employed. The Angerville wines are exemplary: pure, terroir specific, elegant and intense."
