95 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "The Alta Mora 2015 Etna Rosso Guardiola is a wine that I tasted and reviewed a few years back. It's nice to come back to check on its evolution. Guardiola opens to tarry black spice and concentrated fruit with overtones of plum and dried blackberry. Fruit is harvested from 150-year-old alberello vines, and that beautiful richness is surely a result of the hard work put out by these old souls. I've upped my score by one point since my last tasting thanks to the pretty evolution and complexity presented here. Some 5,000 bottles were produced. Drink: 2021-2035. (Oct 2021)"
94 points James Suckling: "Bilberries, fruit tea, citrus, oranges, fresh raspberries, orange blossom, nectarines and wild strawberries. So Burgundian on the palate, the fine and silky tannins encasing beautiful, energetic and exciting red fruit. Powerful acidity closes this off nicely. So elegant. Drink now. (11/7/19)"
