The nose is all darkly spiced fruits, lightly grilled, certainly correct, crushed cherries with a little rose-petal perfume. The palate is supple, fresh and pure, with more of those softly grilled cherry fruits here intertwined with a lightly mineral thread, gripped with tightly knit and elegant tannins. Good structure here, but overall it has the open and medium-bodied style of the vintage. I suspect this will give very attractive drinking in five or so years time. (Dec 2019)"
