94 points Wine Spectator: "[$73 list] Mint and eucalyptus notes frame cherry, strawberry and floral flavors in this harmonious red. The solid grip is integrated with the juicy texture and lively acidity. Fine length. Best from 2023 through 2042. 125 cases made. (12/31/20)"

92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "[$73 list] The 2016 Barolo Roncaglie is fabulous, especially considering Roncaglie is not exactly one of La Morra's top sites. Fresh, vibrant and wonderfully nuanced, the 2016 pulses with real energy and class. For this wine, Stefano Corino leaves more leaf cover in the summer, does a cold soak after harvest and works with a mix of French oak barriques and larger tonneaux, all departures from the approach taken by his father, Renato, with the other wines in the range. The Roncaglie, made from a parcel previously went into the straight Barolo, is an experimental bottling that spent two years in oak with no racking. Drink: 2021-2031. (Feb 2020)"

92 points James Suckling: "A very fine-textured Barolo with attractive berry, cedar, light coffee and earth character. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a succulent, fruity finish. Drink or hold. (9/8/20)"
