95 points Kerin O'Keefe: "Made with grapes from the estate's vineyards in La Morra, including Gattera, the 2021 Monfalletto opens with alluring scents of violet, rose, Alpine herb and dark spice. Full-bodied and loaded with class, the elegant, savory palate offers ripe Marasca cherry, cranberry, blood orange and licorice alongside taut, polished tannins and bright acidity. Drink 2028–2036. (Feb 2025)"

95 points James Suckling: "An intense, deep, vibrant wine full of spicy aromas of mint, licorice, balsamic, eucalyptus, dried violets and prunes. The attack is supple and dense, with a full body, refreshing acidity and firm tannins that are velvety and refined. Still austere in the finish, with the potential for aging. Try from 2027. (Jan 2025)"

93 points/'Cellar Selection' Wine Enthusiast: "Dark cherries and ripe forest fruits emerge with brooding intensity, showing Monfalletto's robust personality. The wine flexes its muscles across the palate, where dusty tannins build steadily before exploding on the finish, demonstrating a powerful yet controlled expression of Barolo's classic structure. Drink from 2027 (Nov 2025)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "This is supple and spicy, its cherry, raspberry and rose flavors framed by a light touch of oak. Balanced and elegant, with refined tannins. Fine length. Best from 2028 through 2043. (Dec 2025)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2021 Barolo Monfalletto is gorgeous. Deep, pliant and expressive, the 2021 has a lot to offer. I would give this a few years in the cellar, as it is quite concentrated and deep. Black cherry, leather, spice, incense and licorice build nicely, leading to a rich, sumptuous finish. The Monfalletto is a beautiful, highly pleasing Barolo. All it needs is a bit of time to shed some of its considerable baby fat. Drink 2027-2041 (Jan 2025)"

93 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "The Cordero di Montezemolo 2021 Barolo Monfalletto comes from various vineyards near the winery in La Morra. This wine offers a plump, slightly ripe fruit profile with black cherry, damson plum and menthol. This remains genuine and pretty all the while. It doesn't show the exacting depth of the top wines, but this well-priced Barolo delivers good cheer over a more accessible style. Drink 2026-2038 (Jun 2025)"

93 points Falstaff Guide: "Brilliant ruby red with lustre. Discreet and elegant nose of violets, hibiscus blossom and pickled redcurrants. Silky on the palate, fine-grained tannins with grip, lingering, juicy finish. (Oct 2025)"

92+ points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "The inky red 2021 Barolo Monfalletto is woodsy and ripe on the nose, with lush balsamic herbs, baked black cherries, fruitcake-like walnut, and sweet spices. The palate is broad and leans to a full-bodied frame, with ripe tannins that are matched with a cushion of ripe fruit through the mid-palate and finish. It’s a hearty Barolo but doesn’t feel weighted and is going have a wide window for enjoyment over the next 15 or so years. Drink 2025-2040 (May 2025)"
