96-98 points/'5 Star Wine,' Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "More of a crimson purple, raspberry seedless, taken a bit of oak, but superlative nonetheless and exceptionally long. Completely mouth filling with great charm, fills all the nooks and crannies. An excellent balance between the fruit acidity and tannins. Still going strong in my mouth several minutes later! (Dec 2023)"

95-96 points/'Outstanding,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Coquard-Loison-Fleurot has a 0.18-ha plot in Grands Echezeaux, and it is considered the estate’s top vineyard. Tasting it with the gorgeous Clos Saint-Denis, it’s clear that Grands Echezeaux is a bigger terroir, hence also a bigger wine. It has another level of weight and scale, and while I love this bigger wine, my heart usually yields to the Clos Saint-Denis. In reality, both vineyards are outstanding, with the Grands Echezeaux showing more oomph and intensity. I’ll have both (if I can get them)! Drink from 2040. (11/28/23)"

94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Grands Echézeaux Grand Cru, matured in 50% new oak, has an open and expressive bouquet with brambly red fruit, Earl Grey, and light forest floor scents, with a hint of morels in the background. It is not as opulent as the Clos de la Roche, though it conveys more Pinoté. The palate is medium-bodied with sapid black fruit. Smooth in texture with a dab of dark chocolate and vanilla, imparting a soupçon of exoticism towards the finish. Moderate length. A delicious Grands Echézeaux that might drink younger than some of "CFL's" other Grand Crus but certainly has the substance to mature in bottle. Drink: 2027-2055. (Jan 2024)"

93-96 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(also from a .16 ha holding). Ripe, fresh and restrained aromas are comprised by notes of red and dark currant, plum, a similar variety of spice elements and pretty floral nuances. I very much like the texture of the delicious medium-bodied flavors that aren't super dense but do possess good power and plenty of minerality while displaying excellent depth and length on the balanced finish that really fans out as it sits on the palate. One aspect that makes this so seductive is that the finish, while certainly built-to-age, has a lovely natural sweetness to it that renders it hard to resist. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"
