95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, matured in 50% new oak with 20% whole bunches, has an entrancing, beautifully defined bouquet with mineral-rich black fruit, becoming ever more floral in the glass: rose bush and iris petals. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black fruit laced with orange sorbet and allspice, building confidence towards its ripe and quite spicy finish. With fine persistence on the aftertaste, this represents a very impressive Clos de la Roche. Drink: 2029-2060. (Jan 2024)"
93-95 points/'Sweet Spot,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a large 1.16 ha holding in Chabiots and Mochamps). Discreet but not imperceptible wood sets off distinctly earthy aromas of plum, red currant, spice and a whisper of violet. There is both good volume and a lovely sense of purity to the caressing yet quite powerful middleweight plus flavors that exude evident minerality on the hugely long, balanced and mildly austere finale. This is terrific and highly recommended. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"
94 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Coquard-Loison-Fleurot has some sizeable parcels in the lower part of the vineyard – Les Chabiots and Les Mochamps – on rather dense soil. This has an old-vine feel, as some plots were planted in the 1930s. It is in 2022 a serious wine, well constituted, and beautifully extracted; what a treat. And for once, a Clos de la Roche from the bottom of the vineyard that isn’t inky! Using 20% whole clusters helped. Drink from 2034. (11/28/23)"
