It bursts open with gorgeous aromas of blackberries, black raspberries, and dark plums, along with notes of graphite, cocoa nib, and dried sage add depth and complexity. On the palate the wine immediately draws you in with its elegant full-bodied texture, which is beautifully structured with velvety tannins. It goes on to display remarkable concentration all the way through a long, mineral-laced finish. It has a deep ruby/purple hue as well as brilliantly perfumed and expressive aromatics of red, blue, and black fruits intermixed with flowery incense, violets, orange blossoms, and hints of iron. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered mouthfeel, ample mid-palate depth, and outstanding length.
