97 points Wine Spectator: "[$1,000 list] The aromas alone—macerated cherry, plum, menthol, leather, licorice, black pepper and mineral—are worth the price of admission here. Slowly beginning to unfold, this red is still firm and less expressive on the palate, with the addition of oak spice notes. Nevertheless, this is complex, long and sophisticated, with a great future ahead. Best from 2024 through 2047. 250 cases made, 22 cases imported. (12/31/22)"

95+ points Ian D'Agata (Terroir Sense): "Luminous red. Delicate aromas and flavours of redcurrant, cranberry cocktail, orange peel, cinnamon, nutmeg and thyme. Very vibrant and light on its feet in the mouth, with a strong mineral and citrussy verve to the perfumed, crisp red fruit and floral flavours. Beautifully focused, with aeration this expands nicely on the long back end turning from a wine marked by high vibrancy and acidity to a more mouthcoating, tannic and full-bodied wine. I would say that the 2013 Granbussia brings the Romirasco and Colonello vineyards to mind, but once decanted, it really seems like it is all Cicala fruit. A very harmonious, elegant Granbussia, I don’t think the 2013 will go down in history as one of the most powerful Granbussias ever made, but it showcases wonderful balance and lift with outstanding concentration and purity of fruit. It is worth pointing out that, beginning with the 2005 vintage, there are only 3000 bottles made of Granbussia yearly (it used to be 12,000, so the family is really pushing quality up and up). Also, they used to blend the grapes from the three different vineyards (Granbussia is a 70% Romirasco, 15% Colonnello and 15% Cicala blend) later than they do nowadays; now they harvest on the same day and blend everything together all in one day. They find that doing so makes for smoother wines that generally taste better both when young and old. Drinking window: 2025-2044. (12/8/23)"
