93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2023).

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Meursault Désirée is represented by just two and a half barrels this year. It has a tightly wound, walnut and freshly sliced Anjou pear nose, with more citrus notes emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a touch of bitter lemon on the entry, orange rind and quince gaining depth towards the finish with admirable concentration. Desirable. Drink: 2025-2040. (Nov 2022)"

92 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Lafon’s Meursault Desirée is produced from a parcel in the lieu-dit Les Pétures (AKA Les Plures). If planted to Pinot, this can be sold as Volnay Santenots, but Lafon has sold it (since the 19th century) as Meursault Desirée. Initially, the wine is somewhat closed, but with time a ripe pear and quince fruit develops. The texture is soft and lush, almost slightly fat, but there is abundant fruit on the palate. This is a wine of impressive density and length, if less incisive than the Clos de la Barre. Drinking Window: 2025-2045. (10/31/22)"

90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of pear, orange oil, toasted almonds and white flowers introduce the 2021 Meursault Désirée, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming wine with bright acids and a saline finish. This early-ripening site is another success in this cooler vintage. (1/31/23)"

89-92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Cool and admirably pure aromas are comprised by notes of just sliced green apple, lilac, rose petal and an array of citrus elements. There is again excellent verve if perhaps not quite the same detail to the delicious middleweight flavors that also possess a beguiling texture, all wrapped in a sappy, caressing, dry and balanced finale. While this understated effort will certainly repay up to a decade of keeping, it should also be reasonably approachable young if desired. Drink: 2028+. (6/10/23)"

89-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Two and a half barrels only. A little less wood showing, attractive white fruit, good acidity, apple and pear, a bit more linear than sometimes. A light sandalwood savoury touch to finish. Drink from 2025-2029. (Oct 2022)"
