90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Grown on clay and crinoidal limestone, with sea urchin fossils. Clearly denser in colour with more fruit and fewer flowers on the slightly more backward nose. Fills the mouth in a pure clean red fruit, a little more acidity behind and a slight tingle factor from the whole bunches. Persistent. Drink from 2025-2030. (Nov 2022)"
90-92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Clavelier's 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Hautes Maizières Vieilles Vignes is gorgeous. It possesses a real core of inner strength, naturally in the more restrained style of the year. Even so, there is terrific potential, especially if this softens with age. Dark cherry, plum, dried herbs, lavender and incense lend notable character to this deceptively mid-weight Vosne. I would love to taste this from bottle. Drink: 2024-2036. (Jan 2023)"
