Magnificent in the detail, alpine strawberry as well as raspberry, a fraction of white pepper, very complete and absolutely lovely. First picked and highest degree, but works out very well. 95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru has a ripe and generous bouquet with dark cherries, raspberry coulis and subtle blueberry scents, hints of sous-bois and potpourri percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, a dash of cracked black pepper and cloves, leading to a nicely structured, quite elegant (for a Corton) finish. Superb. Drink: 2026-2045. There is a gorgeous textured to the broad-shouldered and overtly powerful flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract on the exceptionally long if decidedly firm, compact and balanced finale.
