96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Combe d'Orveau is brilliant and digestible, precise and saline, with powdery, eye-catching tannins and an assertive yet very eloquent structure. (2025)"
95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d'Orveaux 1er Cru comes from almost a hectare of vines. It clearly has more ripeness on the nose compared to the Les Noirots, lifted Morello cherries, crushed strawberry with more floral scents of rose petal and white flowers. The palate is very harmonious with smooth tannins, very supple and fleshier in style, yet maintaining wonderful precision on the finish. Bon vin. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2024)"
91-94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(planted with vines of 20+ and 65+ years of age that sit directly above Musigny). A more elegant and airier nose is even more floral in character with pretty red currant and discreet spice nuances. The elegance continues on the more refined though less concentrated and powerful middleweight flavors that brim with minerality on the youthfully austere and superbly long finale. This too is absolutely going to need extended keeping and is not likely to make for especially interesting early drinking as it's quite compact at present. Drink: 2034+. (Jan 2024)"
