93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Bright red. Vibrant aromas of redcurrant, flint and stony minerality. Silky, sweet and seamless, but with harmonious acidity and chalky minerality energizing the middle palate. Really spreads out and lingers on the aftertaste but the chalky tannins will require at least a few years of patience. (Mar/Apr 2014)"
92-93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Clavelier parcel in Combe d’Orveau has recently had one quarter of its vines replanted, but the young vines were not used in this cuvée in 2011. This left a mix of two-thirds sixty-five year-old vines and one-third twenty-five year-old vines, with the blend producing and excellent bottle of Chambolle. The very classy nose is deep and reserved, offering up scents of red and black cherries, gamebirds, raw cocoa, woodsmoke, a lovely base of soil, a hint of mustard seed and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very elegant, with tangy acids, moderate tannins and lovely mid-palate intensity. The long finish shows off fine grip and excellent focus. 2020-2050. (May/Jun 2013)"
