95-96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Fragrant, rich and refined but with wonderful finesse, this is charm on a very high level. Medium-bodied with great concentration and beautifully integrated oak. A flinty energy lights up the extremely long finish. 50% whole-cluster fermentation.(1/8/25)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This displays textbook Chambolle character. It is ravishingly aromatic and structurally finessed. Perfectly ripe bramble, raspberries and red cherries lead the nose followed by a hint of violets and Lady Grey tea. Beautiful today, this will transform magically in the cellar, so don't be impatient. The oldest vines here are over 70 years old. (Jan 2025)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes is a highlight this year, bursting from the glass with aromas of sweet raspberries, orange zest, rose petals and exotic spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and perfumed, it's sensual and enveloping, with melting tannins, lively acids and a long, aromatic finish. (Jan 2025)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid crimson to ruby. Here the whole bunches deliver some white pepper, along with relatively sumptuous fine red fruit with a bit of strawberry. Very sensual behind, this is an excellent Charmes which lives up to its name. (Nov 2024)"

91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a leased .69 ha parcel). An intensely floral-suffused nose of various red berry and plum scents is both exuberantly fresh and spicy. It is immediately evident that the medium weight flavors are more refined if not more mineral-driven while possessing a beguiling mouthfeel that carries over to the mildly austere, persistent and balanced finale. This beauty of a Charmes could use better depth so a few years of keeping should help. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2025)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru has an exquisite bouquet with brambly red fruit, briar and light sous-bois scents, very delineated and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with a light chocolatey note on the entry, quite sweet yet tensile, with a dash of white pepper toward the finish. The 2022 had a little more persistence, but this should give 15 or more years of pleasure. Drink: 2026-2040. (Jan 2025)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(The fifth vintage for this wine. Bruno knew the owners and they were looking for someone to take care of the vines and luckily, he says, he was chosen.) A deeper more cushioned aromatic. Some structure again – but more padded here – really some width, redder perfumed fruit, ribbed finishing texture. So long – but wait 2-3 years for this… (Jan 2025)"
