92 points Rebecca Gibb, MW (Vinous): "The 2022 Clos Baudoin is Chidaine's Chenin Blanc made from a parcel in Vouvray, which cannot be bottled under the appellation since it is vinified across the river in Montlouis. While this is a dry wine, there's a sense of sucrosity, which Chidaine suggests could be the influence of oak barrels, but the 14% alcohol also lends a sense of sweet richness. It has a haunting bouquet of pear, flowers and pastry, all of which linger on the long finish. However, a note of warmth from the high alcohol means its harmony is not perfect—I’m nit-picking, though. Drink: 2024-2033. (Jul 2024)"
