92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Quite dense red purple, shows the oak a bit, fresh raspberry, medium-plus body, extra concentration on the second half, smoother tannins than the furry Nuits, and fine length. The fruit keeps coming back in a distinguished finish. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted: November 2023."

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Offering up aromas of plums and red berries mingled with notions of smoke, orange peel and peonies, the 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots is medium to full-bodied, velvety and supple, with a suave, enveloping, charming profile, its succulent core of fruit framed by powdery tannins. (1/18/24)"

90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.5 ha parcel that blends 40+ and 60+ year old vines). A markedly spicier and slightly cooler nose features notes of red currant, earth and a pretty floral top note. The racy, delicious and well-detailed medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the lingering finish that also displays a hint of bitter pit fruit character. Lovely and very Chaignots. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2024)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "TThe 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Chaignots 1er Cru has a glorious bouquet with impressive purity and charm, floral, black cherries and veins of blue fruit bursting from the glass. The medium-bodied palate has ripe tannins, leaning a little towards the red fruit side of the spectrum, with black pepper and a slightly savory finish. Afford this three or four years in bottle. Drink: 2027-2047. (Jan 2024)"
