94 points/'Cellar Selection,' Wine Enthusiast: "[$111 list] Sandalwood, rose petals and charred mesquite perfume this bottling sourced from 75 rows of vines situated in the lowest topographic position of the Clos Marey-Monge. A touch softer and richer in fruit ripeness than the producer's “Monopole” bottling, it offers plush roasted-plum and black-cherry flavors lifted by tart blackberry acidity and a chalky, salty limestone finish. Still approaching peak, the wine should drink beautifully from 2024 through 2038. Alcohol 14.1%. (Dec 2021)"
