A pretty nose combines notes of acacia blossom, lemon confit, spice, petrol and a hint of orange peel. There is outstanding intensity to the rich, concentrated and powerful larger-bodied flavors that deliver superb length on the balanced, complex and markedly dry but not really austere finale. 92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Château des Quarts 1er Cru Monopole was bottled a little later than other vintages. It has a bright, vivid nose with green apples, lemon rind, crushed rock and a slightly smoky scent. The palate is well balanced with a grippy entry. It's concentrated and shows fine acidity, with a minerally, lightly spiced and persistent finish. Very cohesive and harmonious, yet I feel it needs time in bottle to show what it can do.
