93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Claude de Nicolay explains that her 1.33-hectare parcel lies at the frontier of Aloxe, Perrnand, and Savigny and seems to share a bit of each. The vines are low on the slope, below the Ile des Vergelesses. Although the soils are deep, the fruit ripens well, and the wine is not as rustic as the Savigny Aux Fournaux. It displays a sweet cherry fruit with a lovely concentration and a floral edge. The wine is approachable and should be drinkable reasonably young, but it does not lack tannin or structure and has the stuffing to age. Drinking Window: 2027-2045. (11/2/23)"

90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Deriving from a single 2.10-hectare parcel, some two thirds of which are classified as premier cru and which were formerly vinified and sold separately, the 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Fourneaux offers up aromas of cherries, sweet raspberries and plums, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety palate that's rich and seamless, with a broad, licorice-inflected finish. (1/18/24)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Fournaux is a blend of Village and Premier Cru parcels with the oldest vines planted in 1956 from a selection massale from Tollot-Beaut. It has a perfumed, quite floral bouquet with plenty of fruit: blueberry and wild strawberry, a touch of forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly-spiced entry, white pepper and clove infusing the dark berry fruit with a sweet, slightly candied finish. Delicious. Drinking Window: 2025-2035. (Jan 2024)"

91 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 60+ year old vines; note that this now has the 1er portion declassified into it and the domaine will continue to do this going forward; the 1er portion accounts for about 2/3 of the cuvée). Ripe and distinctly sauvage-inflected aromas include those of poached plum, earth and a floral top note. There is both good vibrancy and volume to the mineral-driven flavors that display excellent length on the balanced finish. Notwithstanding that this has such a high percentage of premier cru juice, it offers outstanding quality for a villages-level Savigny. Drink: 2030+. (Apr 2024)"
