94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The forward, accessible plummy fruit with notes of violet, earth, and savoury complexity in this Savigny premier cru are immediately engageing. Although the body is somewhat light, the fresh acidity and supple tannins carry this to an elegant conclusion. The grapes come from a 2.61-hectare parcel at the top of the slope planted in thin soils over slabs (‘laves’) of limestone. Half of the grapes were fermented as whole clusters to add complexity and freshness—among my favourites from Savigny this year. Drinking Window: 2025-2035. (Nov 2022)"
92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The domaine’s 2021 les Lavières was the only wine here that had already been bottled, a bit more than a month prior to my visit. It was one of the most severely-frosted parcels in April and production was only fifteen hectoliters per hectare this year. The wine has turned out beautifully, offering up a very elegant bouquet of red and black cherries, a touch of red currant, sweet stem tones, a complex base of volcanic soils, violets, Savigny spices, pigeon and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and seamlessly balanced, with a superb core of fruit, lovely soil inflection, fine-grained tannins and a long, focused and complex finish. A lovely les Lavières in the making. 2033-2080. (Nov/Dec 2022)"
92 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$114 list] Fragrant aromas of wild strawberry, cherry, rose and sandalwood introduce this enticing red, which adds spice and mineral notes as it builds to the ethereal finish. Offers terrific balance and complexity. Best from 2026 through 2040. 50 cases made, 26 cases imported. (5/31/24)"
