94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru, 100% whole bunch, has a detailed nose, a little more backward compared to the Maréchaudes, a touch of silex infusing the quite penetrating red fruit almost sorbet-like with five minutes in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, slightly chalky tannins. This is supremely well focused, more mineral-driven and tensile with a very long finish. Very impressive. Drink: 2025-2045. (Dec 2021)"
95 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The de Nicolay family has four parcels in the Bressandes vineyard, with two on chalkier soils in Aloxe and two on deeper soils in Ladoix, and the mix of the two types of soil seems to have held them in good stead during the heat of midsummer of 2020. Claude de Nicolay commented that this year, they racked one-third of this cuvée in four year-old, Stockinger foudres to complete its elevage, and have blended this with the other two-thirds, that have been raised in traditionally-sized Burgundy barrels, she is very content with how the wine is evolving and we may see more Stockinger foudres used here in coming years. The 2020 Bressandes is an outstanding young wine, delivering an aromatic constellation of black cherries, sweet dark berries, a nice touch of red currant, a superb base of minerality, raw cocoa, woodsmoke, sweet stem tones and an exotic touch of fresh mint in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, vibrant and beautifully balanced, with a superb core of fruit, fine soil signature, ripe, seamless tannins and impressive mineral drive on the long and complex finish. This is going to be a great bottle of Corton. 2037-2100. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
94 points Anne Krebiehl (Falstaff): "Vanilla and red cherry play on the nose. The palate is defined by a firm structure of fine but still astringent tannins. There is a wonderfully pervasive juiciness on this lively and bold wine that flirts with elegance. (1/25/22)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru is broad and dramatic, bursting with aromas of raspberries, plums, warm spices, raw cocoa and loamy soil. Full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's rich and fleshy, with succulent acids and a deep core of fruit framed by youthfully chewy tannins. This will reward some bottle age. (1/20/22)"
92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Half has been racked to Stockinger foudre, the rest in normal barrels. Solid rich purple. There is power to the nose, but not yet detail, an element of chunkiness. Lovely spicy and peppery finish, with this wealth of dark but beautifully channelled fruit. This very promising Bressandes really needs time to settle. (Oct 2021)"
92-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from three separate plantings that have an average vine age of <35 years). In much the same fashion as the Ile de Vergelesses, the expressive nose is abundantly floral in character with its broad-ranging nose of red and dark cherry, warm earth and anise wisps. There is once again excellent volume to the more refined and sleeker big-bodied flavors that also flash a taut muscularity on the overtly built-to-age finale that delivers excellent length. This is impressive though a wine that will definitely need at least 5 to 7 years of keeping and one that should reward 15+. Drink: 2035+. (Apr 2022)"
