94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Jumping out of the glass, this exudes freshness with its tingly red fruits, tree blooms and supporting mineral lift. Cranberries, mulberries and gojis deliver vibrancy and notable, mid-weight concentration. Feathery tannins work with perky acidity to keep the flavors churning into the finish. Boris said that thanks to clay soils, this vineyard never suffered. It certainly shows nothing but electricity! (2025)"
92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Beaune Les Vignes Franches 1er Cru includes 70% whole bunch. Scents of potpourri infuse the red fruits with a touch of rosemary and red brick, creating a complex and engaging aroma. The palate is medium-bodied with finely knit tannins, offering a brighter and more vivacious experience than the Aux Coucherias, with slightly more Pinot expression toward the joyful finish. Superb. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2025)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(High, between the Clos of des Mouches and Ursules.) Here’s a darker breadth of clean, silky aroma. A more vibrant middle fruit flavour, melting over the palate – juicy wine – actually, a bit more accessible today than Choucherias. A simply beautiful wine… (1/16/25)"
