97 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2022 The Widowmaker En Chamberlin Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the vineyard lending great power and structure to the grapes, which is what makes it such a worthy standalone wine. (This vineyard was the first in Walla Walla Valley planted with rootstock resistant to phylloxera in 2000.) It’s lovely, with a grippy mouthfeel, restrained oak, and a rounded midpalate of elegant red fruit, dried herb, and cedar. Cellar through 2040. (Jul 2025)"

96 points International Wine Report: "The 2022 Cayuse The Widowmaker is a stunning expression of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak. This vintage opens with a captivating bouquet of black currant, dried violets, smoked paprika, and hints of crushed rock, all wrapped in a subtle wet-earth richness. Layers of charred cedary herbs, crushed green peppercorn, and blood orange zest add further intrigue. The palate is impeccably balanced, offering a refined yet powerful structure with finely integrated tannins and a mineral-driven core. It delivers striking energy, showcasing bright acidity alongside its dark fruit and savory complexities. Medium-bodied yet deeply nuanced, this is a Cabernet that evolves beautifully in the glass over time. About 300 cases made. Highly recommended. Drink: 2025-2035. (Feb 2025)"

94 points Claire Nesbitt (JamesSuckling.com): "This dark-fruited, classy red has aromas and flavors of bay leaves, blackcurrants, nutmeg, sage and tobacco. It’s full-bodied but sleek and refined, with fine-grained tannins and a long, poised finish. 100% cabernet sauvignon. From biodynamically grown grapes. Best after 2027. (3/7/25)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "Refined yet dynamic, this Cabernet shows both structure and presence, with expressive flavors of blackberry and dark plum highlighted by espresso, crushed rock and licorice tones. Gathers tension toward fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2035. 298 cases made. (8/31/25)"
