96-98 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A fine bright ruby purple. As always, this cuvée has an extra density over and above the other fine Vosne premiers crus. Indeed, there is so much volume of fruit here, while never becoming over opulent. Welcome back to a first-class vintage of Malconsorts! The finish is exceptionally long, with a useful thread of fine boned acidity extending it further. The tannins are completely integrated. Stunning! So fine, such precision. (Nov 2023)"

95-97 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru is very complex on the nose, leaning more towards black fruit this time, with crushed limestone and hints of ash and forest floor. It seems to expand in the glass. The palate is more linear and stricter than the Suchots, yet more tension and spiciness come towards the bravura finish. The second winter will lend this more weight, and it should be a stunning Malconsorts for the future. Drink: 2028-2055. (Jan 2024)"

93-96 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .74 ha parcel of 35+ year old vines). Once again the fruit is ultra-fresh with plenty of spice, floral and exotic elements adding to the appeal of the ripe, airy and layered nose. There is excellent size, weight and richness to the tautly muscular and mineral-driven broad-shouldered flavors that conclude in a hugely long, balanced and built-to-age finale. This is a very serious, compact and tightly wound wine that is indisputably going to need an extended snooze in a cool cellar. Potentially brilliant. Drink: 2037+. (Jan 2024)"

94-95 points/'Outstanding,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Vosne Malconsorts is one of the stars of the line-up, and most likely the best Malconsorts produced anywhere in 2022. De Montille and Dujac aspire to these heights, and the new wine from Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair is a future candidate, but with its holistic impression, the Cathiard has the full package. Malconsorts is not usually a seductive charmer, but the Cathiard ’22 comes close. It’s highly delicate and intense, with delightful silkiness. I love it. Drink from 2035. (11/21/23)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(1972 and 1973 in two plantations.) Broad aromas – dark red fruit again but there’s more minerality to this width too. Mouth-filling, full, but not that generous – there’s just more! The finish is outstanding – what a finish – one to embarrass many grand crus – it just gets better and better – bravo! (1/12/24)"
