94-96 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Murgers 1er Cru is actually similar to the Aux Thorey on the nose: quite pixelated with vivacious, mineral-rich red fruit exuding transparency. The palate is well-structured and concentrated, with richer black fruit and firm grip. There’s a touch of Asian spice towards the muscular finish (perhaps due to the small berries) - this is a long-term proposition. Fabulous. Drink: 2027-2048. (Jan 2024)"

93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Five new barrels in nine. A lively purple colour. The bouquet shows some of the headier qualities of Vosne-Romanée allied to the ballast of Nuits-St-Georges. No black fruit notes in this wine, purely concentrated red berries backed by both acidity and tannins, leading to a fine long finish. Very satisfactory. (Nov 2023)"

93 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Murgers is, as usual, sweeter and more generous than the Thorey. This terroir as a whole has given some tremendous wines in 2022, and the Cathiard version has a significant amount of millerandage grapes. It is deep and intense, with the shot berries supplying even greater energy to this delightful glass. Drink from 2034. (11/21/23)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A deeper width of aroma here – faintly spiced like a Vosne. Direct and silky wine but with intensity and power – a great Nuits – bravo! (1/12/24)"
