98 points Descorchados: "Fresh years like 2021 tend to accentuate the fresh and fruity character of the Fortuna Malbec. This vintage offers a lovely layer of tart red fruits, but it also has the floral notes and, indeed, the herbal touches that are characteristic of Gualtallary. The palate is tense and full of tannins that give the textural sensation of chalk as well as energetic and vibrant acidity in a wine that seems to actually crunch in the mouth. This Fortuna Terrae comes from five hectares planted in the Adrianna Vineyard around the mid-1990s in Gualtallary, in the north of the Uco Valley. It's a deep, sandy loam soil that has a layer of calcium carbonate toward the bottom, where the roots reach and deliver that classic chalky texture to the wine. This is the first time that Fortuna was not aged in oak—just in cement tanks. (Jan 2024)"
97 points Matthew Luczy (Wine Advocate): "[$140 list] The 2021 Adrianna Vineyard Malbec Fortuna Terrae opens with a quintessential profile of black fruits, dried herbs and purple flowers, all delivered with the ethereal lift common to this section of Gualtallary. The palate is deep, concentrated and savory, seamlessly transitioning into an immensely rich, long, focused and increasingly vibrant and mineral-driven finish. This vintage is particularly dynamic in the glass, continuously gaining power, depth and tensile structure; I do not doubt it will develop beautifully in the cellar with its other Adrianna Vineyard counterparts. Drink: 2025-2036. (5/1/25)"
96 points Tim Atkin, MW: "(13.9%). Fortuna Terrae comes from cool, comparatively deep loam soils within the celebrated Adrianna Vineyard in Gualtallary. Matured in concrete, foudres and older barrels, it’s a focused, intense deeply coloured Malbec with engaging texture, fennel, violet and blackberry fruit intensity and sculpted, palate-caressing tannins. 2026-32. (2024)"
95 points Wine Spectator: "[$140 list] Elegant, fresh and inviting at the onset, with violet, hibiscus and blood orange notes that join a smooth-textured palate of raspberry coulis and red currant, melding into richer tiers of dark chocolate and graphite that linger around fine tannins, echoing back to the core flavors. Drink now through 2035. 458 cases made, 150 cases imported. (11/30/23)"
