95+ points Ian D'Agata Wine Review: "Another knockout, nicely traditional Barolo from Castello di Verduno. Enticing aromas of red fruit, forest floor, crushed rocks and orange peel. Initially seems a bit fruit-challenged, with subdued flavours of savoury herbs, red fruit and flint. This is rather big for a wine from Castello di Verduno, and here’s plenty to like to its sneaky concentration; with aeration, this young Barolo offers increasing sweetness and pliancy. A classically structured Barolo that should have along and graceful evolution in bottle. Drinking window: 2030-2040. (May 2025)"
95 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2019 Barolo Riserva Monvigliero is elegant and nuanced, with crushed red berry fruit, inner perfume, hard candy and mint. Now with more than a year in bottle, this remains pretty tightly wound. I would sit on the 2019. Drink: 2026-2039. (Jan 2024)"
