Producer notes: "[$115 list] Much like the previous vintage of Caldwell’s Maverick, the 2019 explodes with aromatics of ripe blueberries, crème de frambois, and Madagascar vanilla beans. In typical Maverick fashion, the palate is hedonistic and juicy, with loads of dense blue and black fruits, milk chocolate, and baking spices. Holding it all together is a high volume of very fine tannin which last for minutes without a hint of bitterness on a finish of sweet French oak. 506 cases produced."
