93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2008 bottling of Mes Favorites from the Burguet family is really a superb example of this pure and transparent year. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a beautiful blend of red and black cherries, chocolate, a bit of grilled meats, black minerality, woodsmoke and a discreet framing of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and shows lovely mid-palate depth, with lovely mineral drive, excellent focus and grip, modest tannins and a long, tangy and complex finish. This is a beautiful bottle that is already drinking very well, but a couple more years in the cellar should really allow it to reach its apogee and I would try to hold off opening it until then. 2020-2040+. (May/Jun 2020)"
91+ points Fine Wine Review: "The Gevrey, Mes Favorites, Burguet’s old vine selection, displays more structure and more weight to a wine of similar weight and flavors as those in the Tradition. This wine is notably long in the mouth. (Issue #133; 2011)"
