Juan Teixeira and Flávia Rosário made this wine in the first vintage after Bartholomew Broadbent established his Madeira project, working with fruit from vines averaging 25 years of age, spontaneous fermentations in stainless-steel tanks and aging in 650-liter American oak casks warehoused at Justino’s, a Madeira house founded in 1870. This, and the other 1997 and 1998 wines, are the first single-cask releases from the project. (Oct 2020)"
