90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .40 ha parcel that abuts Truffière). There is plenty of petrol character to the spicy aromas of Granny Smith apple and lemon rind. There is good concentration to the seductively textured and appealingly vibrant middleweight flavors where the supporting citrus-tinged acidity renders the sneaky long finish saliva inducing. This refreshing effort is really quite good, and I particularly like the prominent bead of minerality. Drink: 2030+. (Jun 2024)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pretty light lemon colour. Some floral character, fine precision, a little lemon note too. More an elegant Puligny than a powerful one, though there is certainly adequate flesh right across the palate, with an attractive tingle of acidity to finish. (Oct 2023)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Champs Gains 1er Cru has a refined bouquet with just a touch of menthol peeking from behind the veneer of blood orange and light wild peachy aromas. The well-balanced palate has a more mineral-driven entry than the Blagny 1er Cru tasted alongside, taut and linear, though it needs a little more on the back end. Drink: 2026-2041. (Jan 2024)"
