95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has a feistier bouquet than Bichot's Meursault Les Charmes. Yellow fruit mixes with chalk, orange zest and light crushed stone/basalt scents that surface with aeration. Returning after 20 minutes, this coheres beautifully - real class. The palate is well-balanced with a keen bead of acidity, fresh and vibrant with notes of dried honey, white pepper, hazelnut and just a touch of curry leaf. Long and tender on the finish, this is a wonderful Les Charmes. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. Drink: 2026-2050. (Jul 2024)"
91-94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .52 ha parcel). This is the first wine to display any appreciable wood influence and even here it's quite subtle on the aromas of mineral reduction, cool citrus and white fleshed fruit. There is outstanding cut and intensity to the overtly stony middle weight flavors that terminate in a tightly wound and sneaky long finale. This is very good and worth checking out. Drink: 2027+. (Jun 2022)"
