Mostly from Vaumuriens at the top of a windy, east-facing slope with shallow, chalky clay soil over mother rock. The vines average 30 years. Because it's a relatively cool site, Thomas typically destems most or all of the fruit. Twenty months in barrel, 30% new. Bouley's Pommard village 2022 has a beautiful ruby color. On the nose are aromas of dark fruits with hints of anise and chalk. Nice acidity and freshness with a salty finish.
