93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2023 “Pré Jourdan” comes in just a touch riper than most of the Bouland Morgon bottlings this year, as it tips the scales at 14.5 percent octane. However, the wine is beautifully pure and perfectly ripe in this vintage, offering up a refined and sappy nose of black cherries, cassis, pomegranate, coffee bean, dark soil tones, pigeon, sweet stem tones, fresh thyme and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, sappy at the core and nicely based on its foundation of soil tones, with ripe, well-integrated tannins, fine focus and balance and a long, complex and gently chewy finish. Fine, fine juice. 2030-2070. (Mar/Apr 2025)"
90+ points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Morgon Pré Jourdan has a higher-toned, more opulent bouquet than the Côte de Brouilly, perhaps without quite the same level of delineation and precision. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly "stringy" tannins, though there is a keen line of acidity and insistent grip on the blackcurrant-tinged finish. Give this a year in bottle. Drink: 2026-2038. (Apr 2025)"
90 points Kenna Wells (Wine Advocate): "Bright and expressive, the 2023 Morgon Pré Jourdan offers layered notes of powdery flowers, cherries, blueberries and vanilla spice, though with a touch of volatile acidity that disperses within a few minutes in the glass. Full-bodied, the wine is broad on the attack, though gently tapers from the influence of its latticed tannins. With bright acidity balancing the weight of the fruit, the wine offers greater approachability compared to others in the lineup. Drink: 2026-2033. (3/20/25)"
