96 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Corcelette Sable delivers remarkable flesh and delicious toasty notes. (2024)"

93 points/'5 Star Wine,' Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Vines from 1925. So we go up (another) step. An imperial purple, very clear. The nose is majestic without being in any way super opulent. Everything is here, with Morgon depth and fine tannins, a superb wealth of dark red fruit yet still with the exceptional elegance of Daniel Bouland wines, while maintaining Morgon’s austere backbone. The trick to getting Morgon right is to maintain the austere structure while having the right balance of fruit, enough to cover the bones but not become heavy. Such a complete wine! Drink from 2027-2035. Tasted: February 2024."

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Daniel Bouland’s 2022 Corcelette Sablé bottling is a very promising young Morgon. The wine is one of the riper of Monsieur Bouland’s 2022s, coming in at fourteen percent octane and delivering a sappy bouquet of black cherries, pomegranate, a hint of sweet cranberry, vinesmoke, gamebird, coffee bean, dark soil tones and a topnote of fresh thyme. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, sappy and broad-shouldered, with a great core of fruit, ripe, buried tannin and fine focus and balance on the long, nascently complex and promising finish. This will need time in the cellar to soften up, but will be a fine bottle once it is ready to drink. 2030-2075. (Jan/Feb 2024)"

92 points Kenna Wells (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Sable offers up aromas of baked blackberries, prunes, lilac petals, brown spices, vine smoke and tinges of orange rind. The medium to full-bodied wine supports a layer of grilled purple fruits, evenly dispersed along the palate, with a firm backbone of chalky, coating tannins. Ripe acids infuse the wine with verve, accentuating the nuanced undertones of white pepper and sage, particularly evident on the finish. While already displaying great promise, this wine will benefit from a few more years of bottle aging to allow its various elements to fall into place. Drink: 2024-2036. (5/30/24)"
