94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Morgon Corcelette “Cailloux” Vieilles Vignes from the Bouland family is another superb young wine. The wine is deep and smoky in personality, with the superb aromatic constellation offering up scents of black cherries, sweet cassis, raw cocoa, dark soil tones, pigeon, anise, peonies and a gentle topnote of sweet stem tones. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and seamlessly balanced, with a rock solid core of fruit, great mineral drive and grip, ripe, buried tannins and a long, vibrant and nascently complex finish. This is going to be a magical bottle of Morgon for a very long time, once it has had some hibernation time to soften up its chassis of tannin. Great juice. 2031-2080+. (Jan/Feb 2024)"
93+ points William Kelley (The Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Cailloux opens in the glass with aromas of cherries, mulberries, sweet spices, licorice and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's deep and impressively concentrated, combining classical proportions with superb ripeness. It's another excellent wine from one of Beaujolais's most dependable growers. Drink: 2022-2031. (7/19/22)"
