92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Daniel Bouland’s 'Bellevue Cailloux' cuvée is crafted from his older vines in this climat, with the vines more than sixty years of age and planted on granitic soils. The 2021 Bellevue Cailloux comes in at an even thirteen percent octane this year and offers up a fine young bouquet of black cherries, pomegranate, coffee bean, bonfire, gamebird, a touch of fresh thyme and a lovely base of stony soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite structured, with a superb core of fruit, fine mineral undertow and grip, ripe, firm tannins and lovely balance on the long, nascently complex and chewy finish. This is a proper young Morgon and is going to need plenty of bottle age to soften up its tannins, but it is going to be excellent once it is ready to drink. 2031-2075+. (Jan/Feb 2024)"
