90-93 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Red-ruby. Very reticent, slightly reduced aromas of blackberry, redcurrant and licorice. Juicy and penetrating but already showing a subtle sweetness to the youthfully imploded flavors of dark berries and pungent minerals. Can't quite match the texture of the Nuits villages in the early going but this far more minerally wine boasts excellent saline energy and rising length. The wine's 40% new oak component is present today, along with a smoky nuance that may come from the Chassin barrel I tasted. Weber noted that this is round for a young Porrets Saint-Georges and that these vines include some Pinot Beurrot and a few percent of PInot Blanc. (Jan 2017)"
