91-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(Bouchard has owned this parcel since 1997 when they did an exchange with Domaine Jean Boillot). An even riper nose of violets, cassis and black cherry aromas marries well with rich, full and seductive flavors that possess good focus and power as well as a velvety, indeed even silky mouth feel. A balanced, harmonious and deep offering that should age well for a long time. Drink: 2015+. (Apr 2007)"
92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Good full deep red. Sexy, spicy aromas of tangy red fruits and sandalwood. Broad, lush, seamless and full, with a sappy quality to the red fruit, smoke and spice flavors. Finishes long and sweet, with substantial broad tannins. (Mar/Apr 2008)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "From just over 1 hectare of owned vines that give Bouchard P&F close to one third of the appellation. High-toned fruit over a sweet base of blue and black-skinned fruits. Apparently Les Cailles is often colder than the surrounding vineyards so can be a harder wine. Soft, with quite sophisticated though abundant tannins. A nice kick in the mid-palate moves you into a lovely clean finish. (Apr 2007)"
