94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This full hectare of vines sits in the middle of the Premier Cru, and its wine packs a punch. The ground is full of white stones, making this one of the first—or the first–to be picked. This is big boned with fig paste, plum peels and kitchen spice. The tannins are rigorous but only lightly drying now, and in time they will integrate further with the plentiful mid-palate meat. (2024)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles opens in the glass with aromas of sweet cherries, berries and plums mingled with hints of rose petals and baking chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, it's suave and refined, with polished tannins and a mineral finish. (1/18/24)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Rich dark purple, not racked, so the nose is a bit edgy at the moment. There is impressive density here, plus some raw tannins, giving a drier finish. No doubting the concentration though. This may just be in a very backward stage. (Oct 2023)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Cailles 1er Cru has an opulent and rich bouquet with candied orange peel and marmalade filtering through the mainly black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a bit low in acidity, but I appreciate the fruit profile with a very smooth and quite long finish. Probably one of the earlier drinking Premier Crus. Drink: 2025-2038. (Jan 2024)"
