95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This is the first Premier Cru in the Bouchard stable to ripen in Meursault. There are two parcels—one above and one below the fault line, and there is usually a two-day difference in their harvest dates. This is beautifully ripe and delectable juice with a smooth and creamy texture covering the mid-weight palate. The flavors range from lemon oil, Granny Smith apples and tapioca to tree blooms and celery seed. (2024)"
94-95 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Still very youthful. Stacks of yellow fruits with a hint of butterscotch, but this is anything other than loud. Very impressive concentration and a wonderful balance of stony and creamy elements. Long, complete finish with underlying tannic power. From two plots, mid-slope and high altitude. (8/8/23)"
94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This classic expression of Genevrières has all the richness and buttery notes that a traditional Meursault lover will appreciate. Still, there is a complexity to the fruit aromas as well, with notes of grapefruit, passionfruit, and citrus peel. Despite the broad density on the palate, a lively acidity brings everything into balance and finishes very long on the palate. The grapes are from two parcels in Genevrières, and another in Dessous; more than a hectare of the Bouchard vines here had to be grubbed up due to issues with the 161-49 rootstock. Drinking Window: 2025-2045. (5/30/23)"
92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Bouchard is replanting a big block in this site, so the 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is a smaller cuvée than usual. Unfurling in the glass with notes of pear, white flowers, fresh hazelnuts and ripe citrus, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and vibrant, with a fleshy core of fruit that exhibits good concentration and cut. (1/18/24)"
92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru is slightly more closed on the nose than the Les Goutte d'Or, revealing white peach and almond scents with time and a touch of grilled hazelnut. The palate is well-balanced with crisp acidity, taut and fresh, the saline finish lending tension. It needs time in bottle, but all the components are there. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2024)"
